Experiencia en operaciones sobre valores cotizados en el mercado bursátil.

EXPERIENCIA DOCENTE

Profesor en el Máster de Asesoría Jurídica y Tributación de Empresa organizado por la Fundación Mapfre Guanarteme.

Ponente habitual en diversas jornadas y seminarios relacionados con el Régimen Económico y Fiscal de Canarias al organizados por diferentes organismos públicos y privados (Escuela de Negocios de Tenerife, Fundación Mapfre Guanarteme, Instituto de Fomento Empresarial (IFE), escuela de formación “Escuelas de Empresa” (Santa Cruz de Tenerife),   Universidad de La Laguna, Excmo. Cabildo Insular de Tenerife, Fundación Fyde/CajaCanarias y Cámara de Comercio de Tenerife y Las Palmas entre otros).

Autor y colaborador de distintas publicaciones especializadas, entre ellas, “El Impuesto de Sociedades” (Aranzadi, 1996).

Degree in Law from the University of Seville.

PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Member of the Special Management Division of the Spanish Tax Authorities, specialising in tax management and assessment and ancillary audits (from 1984 to 1988, currently on extended leave of absence).

Chief Financial Officer of the company Betacar Canarias, S.A. (1988-1989).

Lawyer at Ernst & Young Abogados in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for 21 years (1998-2010).

Partner at Ernst & Young Abogados in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for 9 years (2001-2010).

CURRENT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

He joined MONTERO ARAMBURU ABOGADOS in November 2010.

He specialises in estate planning and company mergers and acquisitions.

He also specialises in the Canary Islands tax system.

He has experience in transactions with listed securities.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

He teaches regularly on various tax law courses run by the training school “Escuelas de Empresa” (Santa Cruz de Tenerife).

He teaches regularly on the Masters in Corporate Legal Advice and Taxation run by the Fundación Mapfre Guanarteme.

He is a regular speaker at talks given by the Instituto de Fomento Empresarial (IFE).

He has been a speaker at various conferences on tax-related matters, including, in particular, the following:

– First forum on the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC): Legal and Tax Aspects, organised by the University of La Laguna and the Island Council of Tenerife.

– Course on the Canary Islands Special Zone at the Escuela de Negocios of Tenerife.

– “New Legislation on Corporation Tax”, organised by the Fundación Mapfre Guanarteme.

– Practical workshops on the Economic and Tax System of the Canary Islands.

– Workshops on Tax Reforms, organised by the Fundación Fyde/ CajaCanarias.

– Workshops given by the Chamber of Commerce of Tenerife and Las Palmas on the new Economic and Tax System of the Canary Islands.

PUBLICATIONS

He is the author of and has contributed to various specialist publications, including “El Impuesto de Sociedades” (“Corporation Tax”) (Aranzadi, 1996).
